"Art is the proper task of life." – Friedrich Nietzsche

The Tri~Art Gallery opened in 2005, an oasis of art in the desert of the Tri-Cities of Eastern Washington State. It closed in 2008. Situated in a former cherry orchard on the Yakima River, the Tri-Art Gallery's focus was on displaying and selling outdoor art and sculpture. A range of art was available suitable for landscaping in homes, businesses, and wineries. In addition, we displayed and brokered monumental Public Art pieces for placement within the local communities as well as nationwide.

Dave and Vali Mitchell were the owners of Tri-Art Gallery.

Dave has been a Tri-Citian from the first grade. He is active in the arts, and has a strong business background, running his own company for the past 20+ years. He has been active in the counseling field for over two decades, serving on local and state boards, and volunteering for numerous nonprofits.

Vali has a busy and varied career. Her writings for an art magazine in Oregon led to her first book, Dr. Vali's Survival Guide: Tips for the Journey. Click here for Dr. Vali Link. Her latest book was just published in November, entitled Emotional Terrors in the Workplace: Protecting Your Business' Bottom Line. Her specialty of teaching businesses how to provide Emotional Continuity Management leads her across the U.S. providing consultations and seminars. Click here for Emotional Continuity Management Link. Yet she still finds time to create her own unique art forms, including her "Milagro Moments" available on this site, as well as music. In addition, Vali is Executive Director for a nonprofit organization which provides free access to opportunities in the arts for youth. Click here for The Kirsha Foundation Link.

Dave and Vali also ran Inner Directions, LLP, a counseling and consultation business in Richland. Dave was on the Richland Parks and Recreation Commission and is a graduate of Class XII of Leadership Tri-Cities. Vali was an Adjunct Professor at Washington State University Tri-Cities, and speaks on a variety of topics nationally and internationally. Their new home is in Honolulu, Hawaii, but they retain business interests in the Tri-Cities, and supervise Parenting After Divorce mandated parenting seminars in Richland. In addition, Vali continues providing business coaching to professionals from the Tri-Cities, as well as nation-wide.
